I absolutely LOVE watching Television Shows on DVD. Being able to find out what happens next after each episodes always climatic endings is SO much nicer than having to wait a week to see it. That is why I have decided to provide people with a list of TV on DVD boxed sets that are on sale. I will only be TV shows that I have watched and found extremely enjoyable. So here are my TV Show Recommendations.



1. Get Veronica Mars - The Complete First Season for as low as $13.51 on Amazon.com.

Veronica Mars is my all time favorite show. Out of all of these shows I am going to recommend this is my number one recommendation. If you haven't seen this series you are really missing out.


Veronica Mars Brief Summary: In the wealthy, seaside community of Neptune, California, the rich and powerful make the rules. Unfortunately for them, there's Veronica Mars, a smart, fearless 17-year-old apprentice private investigator dedicated to solving the town's toughest mysteries. Veronica used to be one of the popular girls, but it all came crumbling down around her after her best friend, Lilly, was murdered, and her then-sheriff father, Keith, was removed from office for naming Lilly's rich father as the lead suspect. During the day, Veronica must negotiate high school like any average teenage girl. Golden Girls Brief Summary: The Golden Girls was one of the most popular television shows of the 1980s. The show centered around four elderly single women living together in a House in Florida, all played by sitcom veterans: sensible Dorothy (Bea Arthur), sweet but stupid Rose (Betty White), lusty Blanche (Rue McClanahan), and Dorothy's outspoken mother Sophia (Estelle Getty). The program was nominated for many Emmy and Golden Globe awards, and was consistently in Nielsen's top 10 for its entire run, garnering both critical acclaim and public popularity. It also proved daring for its time, tackling sensitive political issues and for the mere fact it was a prime time show whose characters were much older than television's most desired demographic.



4. Alias: the Complete First Season is on sale for $15.00 at Buy.com.

Alias Brief Summary: Golden Globe Award-winning actress Jennifer Garner is Sydney Bristow. Syd's not exactly your average grad student. Her life might appear normal, but she's hiding a secret life working as a spy for the CIA.

Sydney's world is turned upside down when she learns she may work for the very enemy she thought she was fighting. Now she's entangled in a covert lifestyle where she is forced to question the allegiances of everyone, including those closest to her. I highly recommend this show. I couldn't turn it off! I was so upset when I finished the 5th and final season, no more Alias, Seriously?! :(. Did I mention Jennifer Garner is a black belt in real life so the action scenes she's in are AMAZING!

Entertainment Weekly says Alias is "a spy-fi roller coaster of killer gadgets, double roundkicks, triple crosses, poignant confessionals, cliff-hangers, sliced-off fingers, conspiracies, outrageous outfits, exotic locales, flirtations, mythologies -- and that's just before the first commercial break."



5. Get Buffy the Vampire Slayer the Complete Series for

From the very first episode of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and throughout the course of its run of almost a decade, the show set the standard for quality television entertainment. Picking up where the relatively disappointing film left off, the show followed Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) on her quest to rid the world of vampires, demons, and various other evil beings. A small band of friends were there to help her out, which included the vampire convert Angel (David Boreanaz), vampire and ambivalent love interest Spike (James Marsters), popular girl Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter), regular guy Xander (Nicholas Brendon), and intellectual Willow (Alyson Hannigan). This collection includes the entirety of the show, allowing fans to trace the evolution of Buffy's relationships, fashion sense, and success at battling her true demon: her strong desire to be normal.

While this show is from the 90's it is in no way dated. I just recently rewatched this incredible series and could barely and couldn't turn it off! I love it just as much today as I did when it first came out.

Welcome to quaint Stars Hollow, Connecticut. People often mistake Independence Inn's manager, headstrong single mom Lorelai Gilmore, and her equally willful teenage daughter, Rory, for sisters. Lorelai and Rory cope with the same emotional ups and downs, including Lorelai's overbearing, old-money parents and the joys and frustrations of the male gender.
